DVD's for release - 4th Quarter 2005

Before the year ends, top grossing films of 2005 will be released in DVD. This means that its harvest time for all the pDVD addicts out there. (Eto na ang hinihintay natin). Most of the time, DVD release dates for the original does not vary with that of the "Quiapo Release" (as I would like to label that). As I am posting these dates, the pDVD's will be available in your Pirata Stalls most probably a week advanced or delayed.

Final Fantasy (The Pirata Release)

I got this DVD at Quiapo the other day. Im not really a big fan of Final Fantasy, Im just curious on how the animation developed from the las FF movie (Spirits Within).

To my surprise, I enjoyed watching this DVD, what I enjoyed most is the graphics (SOBRANG LUPIT), its like the PS2 game intros. And the the characters's movements realy mimcs that of the real thing. It would have been perfect if this is the english version, for this "pirata" release, its dubbed in Japanese with english subtitles. Patok ang PQ & SQ. saksak nyo sa 5.1 surround para mas maganda. Patok to!

Family Day

It was my first real sunday as a first time father. My son, Obie is just 3 weeks old and for the past 2 weekends, we are always out going either to her Lolas or to our house in Fairview.

This sunday was different. :)

We woke up early, I dragged my baby outside for a dose of morning sunlight.
My wife prepared breakfast, my baby joined us but of course, he had his milk.
by10:00 AM, I helped in giving bath to my baby. I changed diapers, I fed him, I carried him (and at the same time I let my wife have some sleep) I slept beside by my baby and It so cute just watching him sleep.
around 2:00, my baby woke up and he played, I also played NBA Live! in my playstation.
we had late lunch by 2:30..
I helped doing household stuff... (hugas pinggan at laba heheheh) after eating,
I had Obie in my arms until 5PM until he got sleepy again and woke up at 7PM

I really enjoyed this day and Im looking forward to spend another whole day with my family again. :)

Francis M Madness

Ive been hooked on litsening to Francis M's songs lately, I just got his latest album "Pambihira ka Pinoy".. and man,he still rocks! He hasnt' lost the magic and still feels like the Francis M of old. Feeling nostalgic about the master rapper, I tried to checkout record bars for a CD copy of by far, his best album "FREEMAN" (1996), and to my surprise, its already sold out :( I envy those who got this on CD back then. I only have the cassette, and as you know, being a die hard Francis M fan, its already worn out.

but hey, I was able to download MP3's from the net, (sory Kiko), and now I have a self-produced, re-issue of "FREEMAN"

In my own words, "wala kang itatapon sa album na to", and i really hope that BMG would re-issue these CD.

yup, its something i may not be proud of, but the hell with it, i just want to be entertained. Who would want to buy DVD's in the mall, priced Php 499.00 (the cheapest) to Php 1,099.00 - hmm, i guess this is the most expensive ive seen so far. (Sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, dapat WAIS!) nyahahaha....
Current Market Price of DVD's @ Quiapo is Php 60.00 - 65.00

Well, nothing beats the original. But being a certified Pirated DVD Collector for (hmm..4 years), I can say that these pDVD's from Q can give the originals a run for their money. Picture Quality & Sound Quality is superb. Durability? well, it depends on how you handle your stuff.
